Employees at a business that neighbors our TownSquare Media headquarters here in Lafayette were the victims of  a smash-and-grab style burglary.

Our video surveillance cameras captured the brash burglars in the act. Our hopes are that this video can help to serve justice for the victims.

At around 3;35 p.m. Tuesday, TownSquare Media surveillance cameras captured video of the suspects' vehicle, which  can be clearly seen in the parking lot adjacent to our studios at 1749 Bertrand Drive.

The suspects are seen arriving in a light-colored crossover SUV. They entered the parking lot from Bertrand Drive where they brazenly backed into a parking spot mere feet from the business' exterior wall.

The first suspect exited the front passenger's seat and smashed the window to a pickup truck. He then entered the vehicle and began rummaging around.

At the same time, the driver can be seen entering another vehicle and searching through a second victim's belongings.

Within less than two minutes from their malevolent arrival, the suspects returned to their vehicle and exited on Bertrand Drive.

Though there were no reports of what may have been stolen from the vehicles, a police report was taken by the Lafayette Police Department.

Police have not confirmed whether or not this incident is related to a rash of similar vehicle burglaries that have been reported by other businesses in the area near Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Bertrand Drive.

If you recognize the suspects--or their vehicle-- you are urged to contact Lafayette Police at 291-8600.
