UL Softball Down In Latest Major Poll
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are down, slightly, in one of the latest major top 25 college softball polls.
Louisiana is down one spot, to #21, in this week's USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 poll, which was released on Tuesday.
The Cajuns went 4-0 last week, all in shutout fashion, defeating FIU, 2-0, in a non-conference tilt, before sweeping a three-game Sun Belt Conference series from Appalachian St. over the weekend, by scores of 5-0, 8-0, and 7-0.
Louisiana, who is now 18-6 on the season, including a 5-1 league mark, returns to the diamond this weekend, when they travel to Troy, Alabama, to take on the Troy Trojans, in a three-game, weekend, league series.
Washington is once again the new top-ranked team in the country this week, followed by Tennessee, Oklahoma, UCLA, and Oregon, to round out the top five.
6-10 consists of Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, Arizona, and LSU.
