Due to the high percentage of rain forecasted throughout the Acadiana area on Friday night, there are more Thursday night high school football games than were originally schedule.

As it turns out, there are 11 games throughout the area tonight, with 9 games moved from Friday night to tonight, in an effort to beat the rain.

In a District 4-4A tilt, the Northside Vikings will play host to the Teurlings Catholic Rebels.

Teurlings is 4-4, overall, and 2-1 in district play, while Northside will enter at 3-5, and 0-3, respectively.

A big one will take place in Welsh, Louisiana tonight, as the Notre Dame Pioneers travel to meet the Welsh Greyhounds.

Not only is first place on the line in District 6-2A tonight, but both teams are unbeaten, at 7-0, ad both teams are ranked very highly, with Notre Dame ranked atop the last 2A poll. with Welsh ranked third.

Two .500 teams will meet tonight, in a District 5-4A contest, as Beau Chene hosts St. Martinville.

Both teams have s hot at a winning record, but need to win tonight.
