
1 Person Hospitalized After Crane Collapse On I-10 (UPDATED)
UPDATE: All lanes are now open but congestion has reached two miles.
The construction crane fell on an SUV. One person was reportedly airlifted to a nearby hospital.
A second crane at the site is being used to remove the fallen crane.

Westbound lanes of I-10 are closed near Henderson after a construction crane collapsed across the roadway. Callers to KPEL say another vehicle then hit the crane. Back-ups extend for several miles on the westbound side of the Basin bridge.
Traffic cameras in the Henderson area show the westbound side of I-10 between Henderson and Breaux Bridge empty as crews work to clear the lanes.
Henderson Police first responded and now State Police is on the scene. Troop A in the Baton Rouge area has been notified of the crash.
