Crowley Man Arrested For Sex Offender Registration Violations

The officers that work for the Sex Offender Unit in the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office have arrested a Crowley man for not registering.

The Acadia Sheriff's Office reports that 32-year-old Delizah Lavergne didn't comply with the law when he was released from jail.

Lavergne failed to register as a sex offender, and didn't notify his neighbors in the required time which is required by Louisiana law.

Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson says,

"We have been performing compliance checks to assure the safety of our families to the best of our ability. We are simply seeking compliance from the offenders. However, there will be a zero tolerance for those who fail to follow the law”.
