Real friends?

They say that those are the hardest friends to come by, and ESPN just proved the worth of their friendship after they are suspected of photoshopping Tiger Woods' recent DUI mugshot to make his hair look better.

Woods was arrested early Monday morning on DUI charges in Jupiter, FL.

When Chris Reed told me the photo they aired was different than the mugshot that was posted when the story broke, I didn't want to believe him, but a quick Google search revealed that his eyes weren't deceiving him.

It definitely looks like they took a little of the top to smooth things out—and while I'm sure Tiger appreciates the gesture, he's got bigger problems on hand.

The pro golfer released this statement following his arrest:

I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions.  I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved.  What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications.  I didn't realize the mix of medications affected me so strongly.

I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends, and the fans.  I expect more from myself, too.  I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.

I fully cooperated with law enforcement, and I would like to personally thank the representatives of the Jupiter Police Dept. and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office for their professionalism.

Good luck, Tiger. And no matter what happens, just know that ESPN will always be that friend who holds your hair back while you throw up.
