As on air people, we live in fear of something horrifying happening when we have our microphone on. Has it happened to me? Yes. Do I want it to happen again? Not no, but hell no. And it's even worse for television reporters and anchors, who have to live their lives in front of a camera.

So, you can see why I sympathize with KTLA reporter Mary Beth McDade when a cockroach landed on her during a live shot in Los Angeles. To her credit, she recovers in enough time to do the report, but I'm sure it was a horrifying moment for her if she doesn't like large flying bugs landing on her body!
