Two young people were shot Tuesday night in Lafayette, and police are hoping to gather more information about what happened with the case.

Officers were called out to the 200 block of Conrad Street where they found two people who had been shot.

According to Lafayette Police Department Spokeswoman Corporal Bridgette Dugas, both of the shootings victims were taken to the hospital, they were treated and released Wednesday.

One victim is an 18-year-old woman, and the other victim is a 19-year-old man.

The shootings happened around 10:20 Tuesday night.

Dugas says they are asking people with information about the shootings to come forward.

There are two ways to anonymously give information about the shootings. One way to offer a tip is to call the Lafayette Crime Stoppers line at 337-232-TIPS(8477).

The other way to give information to police anonymously is to download the P3 app on your phone.
