Lafayette Fire Department Investigator Alton Trahan says, via press release, they need the public's help in identifying a vehicle's owner who may be involved in an arson case.

Just before 4 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, March 2, firefighters from Youngsville were called out to the 1000 block of Fortune Road to find a truck on fire.

Trahan says they are releasing some pictures to the public to see if someone can identify the car and driver. Trahan says this person may have been involved in the fire.

Lafayette Fire Department investigators ruled that the fire had been intentionally set, but since no one was around when officials got to the scene, they have no suspects.

If you know anything about the case involving the truck being set on fire, you are asked to call Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 337-232-TIPS (8477), or you can call the Lafayette Fire Department.
