Weather Alert Concerning Calcasieu Parish School Board For Wednesday, May 8, 2025
All Calcasieu Parish School Board and facilities will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, 8, 2025, due to expected heavy rain and the potential for localized flooding. Officials made this decision after receiving weather updates and consulting with local meteorologists.
The safety of students, staff, and faculty remains the top priority. Schools are expected to reopen on Thursday, May 9, as usual. Stay safe, stay dry, and monitor local alerts for any updates.

In addition, the Parish is under a Tornado Watch until 9 pm tonight.
