A native of Thornton, Coloarado, Cox will be part of the 2019 signing class, and will be eligible to play for the Cajuns beginning with the 2020 season.
The 6-foot-2, 180 pound Cox hit a .333, to go along with 7 home runs, 31 runs batted in, and 12 stolen bases as a freshman at Butler CC in 2018.
