Lafayette Police Department Spokeswoman Bridgette Dugas says that narcotics investigators made the largest methamphetamine bust in Lafayette's history Saturday afternoon.

Dugas says officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver, Vickie M. Watson, was arrested.

They recovered twenty-three pounds of Methamphetamine which has a street value of around $ 2,083,000 for the Kentucky woman's car.

In addition to the meth, officers recovered 248 vials of THC Oil that has a street value of $24,800.

Watson was arrested on the following charges:

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance for the Meth
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance for the THC Oil
  • A Traffic Violation

 

This all happened around 3:19 Saturday afternoon.
