The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, August 24th.

There have been 143,566 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That's 623 more reported cases since Sunday.

Numbers show that there are 941 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized. That's the same number as Sunday.

152 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is the same as Sunday.

The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 4623 That is 18 more reported deaths since yesterday.

As of today, 118,120 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered, as of August 17th. That's 24,608 presumed recovered patients since the last report released.

The total number of coronavirus cases that have been in the Acadiana region is 22,947 with 565 total deaths reported.

Lafayette Parish: 8,168 total cases, 106 total deaths

(Up 20 reported cases since Sunday; Up 3 reported deaths since Friday)

Iberia Parish: 2,670 total cases, 81 total deaths

(Up 9 reported cases since Sunday; No reported deaths since Friday.)

St. Martin Parish: 1,839 total cases, 51 total deaths

(Up 3 reported cases since Friday; Up 1 reported death since Friday.)

St. Mary Parish: 1,726 total cases, 65 total deaths

(Up  reported cases since Sunday; Up 0 reported deaths since Friday.)

St. Landry Parish: 3,001 total cases, 108 total deaths

(Up 24 reported cases since Sunday; Up 1 reported deaths since Sunday.)

Acadia Parish: 2,748 total cases, 93 total deaths

(Up 5 reported cases since Friday; Up 1 reported death since Sunday)

Evangeline Parish: 1,006 total cases, 23 total deaths

(Up 2 reported cases since Sunday; Up 1 reported death since Sunday.)

Vermilion Parish: 1,789 total cases, 38 total deaths

(Up 5 reported cases since Friday; Up 3 reported deaths since Sunday.)
