The latest Louisiana school football power rankings are out.

Many Acadiana area schools look to be in good shape, following the completion of week 9 of their respective schedules, with now only one week remaining in the regular season.

Keep in mind, 32 teams qualify for the playoffs in each of the Non-Select divisions, while the Select divisions will feature a different numbers of teams in their respective brackets.

The 2018 high school playoff brackets will be released by the LHSAA on Sunday.

We'll begin with the Non-Select Division, where the top 32 teams make the playoffs, with the top 16 hosting in the first round.

In Class 5A, Acadiana is at #4 in this week's power rankings.

Comeaux is currently the only other local school in the top 32, at #29, and looks to be in good shape for a potential playoff spot.

Sitting outside of the top 32 is Lafayette High is at #36, while New Iberia is #40.

In Class 4A, St. Martinville is the highest rated local team this week, at #6, with Breaux Bridge (#13), Carencro (#16), Westgate (#21), Cecilia (#25), and Opelousas (#32) also in the top 32.

Outside of the top 32 are Rayne (#33), Northside (#42), and Beau Chene (#47).

In Class 3A, three teams from the Acadiana area are ranked right at the top, with Iota, Kaplan, and Eunice ranked 1, 2, and 3, respective,2, but a number of other Acadiana area schools are in the top 32, including Church Point (#6), Crowley (#9), Northwest (#12), Erath (#23), and North Vermilion (#28).

Currently outside of the top 32 are Abbeville (#34), Pine Prairie (#37), Erath (#39),  Port Barre (#45), and Mamou (#46).

In Class 2A, Franklin is the highest rated local team this week, at #16, with Port Allen at #20, and Ville Platte at #32.

Outside of the top 32 this week are Delcambre (#35), Jeanerette (#36) and Loreauville (#38).

Wrapping up the Non-Select divisions, we go to Class 1A, where Gueydan (#12) and North Central (#29) are fighting for seeding in the state playoffs.

Now, we move we move on to the Select divisions.

In Division I, where all teams make the playoffs, with the top four earning byes, there are no local teams, but you can view this week's rankings.

In Division II, where all teams make the playoffs, with the top three earning a bye, St. Thomas More, at #2, is the highest rated local team this week, while Teurlings checks in at #4.

In Division III, where all teams make the playoffs, with the top two teams earning byes, Notre Dame tops the rankings this week, with Catholic-New Iberia #4, and Ascension Episcopal at #7.

Finally, in Division IV, where all 16 teams make the playoffs, Lafayette Christian is the top-rated team from the area this week, at #2, with Vermilion Catholic at #4, Opelousas Catholic at #6, St. Edmund at #7, Sacred Heart of Ville Platte at #11, and Hanson at #16.

Outside of the top 16 are Westminster Christian (#22) and Highland Baptist (#24).
