For many Acadiana residents, Saturday morning's first taste of fall feeling temperatures was just not enough. By yesterday afternoon, the temperatures had already rebounded back into the upper 80s and it was once again possible to break a sweat walking out to the mailbox.

That cold front that passed through the area on Friday will again pass back through the area this morning, this time as a warm front. That means showers and thundershowers will be likely for much of the day today and tomorrow. Rainfall amounts are not expected to be too high, however, there is the potential for some areas to see an inch or better of precipitation before the next front arrives.

By early Wednesday morning, another cold front is expected to sweep down from the Great Plains and drop temperatures in Acadiana once again. Low temperatures on Thursday morning will likely be in the middle 50s. Temperatures will slowly rebound during the day on Thursday and Friday. By this weekend forecast high temperatures will once again be in the middle to low 80-degree range.
