After many rumors, leaks, and unconfirmed reports, we can tell you that Raising Cane's is coming to Louisiana Avenue & I-10.

At first, we heard through the grapevine that all the new development at the Louisiana Avenue expansion project near I-10 would include the popular fried chicken franchise. Then, Lafayette City-Parish District 4 Councilman Kenneth Boudreaux mentioned the restaurant by name when describing all the businesses that would be coming to the 30-acre development.

Unfortunately, when Developing Lafayette reached out to Raising Cane's to confirm the new location they didn't get a straight answer. This took the wind out of the sails of many residents in and around the Upper Lafayette area.

Well, here is a screenshot from Ty Arceneaux that confirms a Raising Cane's will definitely be coming to Louisiana Avenue and I-10.

Unless you think they may be hiring a general manager for a "new location" at I-10 and Louisiana Avenue that they don't plan to open. (???)

I highly doubt that—so go ahead and put my order in for a box combo, no slaw, extra fries.
