St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Daily Arrest Report

The following is a list of the people who were booked into the St. Mary Parish Correctional Center this past weekend:

Blake Dinger, 25, 330 Neptune Street, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on October 26, 2018, at 7:36 pm on an active warrant on the charge of simple battery.

A deputy was dispatched to the Berwick Police Department to make contact with Dinger who had been detained by the Berwick Police after learning he had an active warrant for his arrest with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office. The deputy advised Dinger of the warrant and took him into custody. Dinger was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $2,500.

Roslin Colbert, 43, 109 Romero Lane, Sorrel, LA, was arrested on October 27, 2018, at 3:19 am for battery domestic abuse.

A deputy patrolling the area of Sorrel was dispatched to a residence on Romero Lane in reference to a domestic abuse complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the victim who stated that the victim had been struck in the face by Colbert during an argument. During the investigation, the deputy found evidence to support the victim’s allegations and made contact with Colbert who admitted to striking the victim. Colbert was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $500.

Nicholas Gamble, 38, 1049 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 27, 2018, at 7:17 am for criminal damage to property-simple.

Davida Bias, 34, 1140 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 27, 2018, at 7:17 am for battery-aggravated.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Amelia in reference to a male who was being attacked with a baseball bat. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Gamble who stated that Bias had hit him with a bat. In response, Gamble had thrown an object at Bias’ car, causing damage to it. Gamble was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 4, 2019.  Bias was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail was set.

Ladante Tabor, 21, 611 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 27, 2018, at 11:46 pm for speeding, criminal trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

A deputy patrolling the area of Baldwin observed a vehicle traveling at a speed greater than the posted speed limit. The deputy observed the vehicle pull into a driveway of a residence. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with Tabor. During the stop, drugs and drug paraphernalia were found, and the deputy learned from the homeowners that they didn’t know Tabor. Tabor was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 4, 2019.

Juvenile Male, 15, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on October 28, 2018, at 2:47 am for runaway juvenile.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to a residence in reference to a runaway juvenile. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the guardian of the juvenile who stated that the juvenile had left the residence and had not returned. The juvenile was later located by a Morgan City Police Officer in Morgan City. The juvenile was transported to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City and was released into the custody of the guardian.

Manuel Booker, 44, 146 Georgetown Road, Glencoe, LA, was arrested on October 28, 2018, at 12:53 pm for three active warrants for the charges of simple battery (x2) and telephone calls-harassment.

A deputy patrolling the area of Glencoe observed a vehicle swerve over the fog line and the center line.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Booker. During the stop, the deputy learned of three active warrants that Booker held through the Franklin Police Department. Booker was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Booker was released on a $5,500 bond.

James Welch IV, 49, 537 Arcemont Lane, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on October 28, 2018, at 4:29 pm for battery of a dating partner.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to a residence on Arcemont Lane in reference to a domestic battery. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the victim who stated that Welch had struck the victim during an argument. During the investigation, the deputy found evidence to support the victim’s allegations.  Welch was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

NARCOTICS SECTION

Irving Clark, 30, 917 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 26, 2018, at 1:57 pm on six active Morgan City Police Department warrants on the following charges:

• Armed Robbery
• Probation violation
• Possession of marijuana (x2)
• Resisting an officer
• Simple battery

Detectives received information that Clark was riding around Bayou Vista and that he had active warrants for his arrest. The detectives confirmed the warrants and subsequently located Clark exiting a local business in Bayou Vista. The detectives made contact with Clark and advised him of the active warrants for his arrest. Clark was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail has been set.

Jacob Alcina, 30, 706 Martin Luther King Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on October 29, 2018, at 1:44 am for aggravated flight from an officer, reckless operation of a vehicle, and on two active warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of legend drug, possession of schedule IV, possession of schedule III, and possession of methamphetamine.

Dispatch advised of a complaint on Foxglove Lane in Patterson in reference to a vehicle burglary. The victim had described the subject and the vehicle he was driving. A St. Mary Parish detective was in the area and located a vehicle matching the description and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the subject fled in the vehicle. The vehicle was speeding and being driven recklessly. The detective followed the vehicle to a residence on Martin Luther King Street in Patterson. The suspect, Alcina, barricaded himself in the residence for several hours and wouldn’t cooperate with deputies before being taken into custody. Alcina was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set. The incident is still under investigation and additional charges are pending.
