The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns remain in the top 25 in the fifth college softball ratings percentage index (RPI) poll of 2018, which was released on Monday.

Louisiana, who was 27-11 on the season, including a 13-4 Sun Belt Conference record, prior to their Monday match-up with Texas St., ranks number 24 this week, which is up one spot from a week ago.

The Cajuns did defeat Texas St. on Monday, 3-1, but these rankings don't include that game.

Louisiana, who went 2-1 last week, returns to the diamond on Wednesday, when they travel to Lake Charles to take on the McNeese St. Cowgirls in a non-conference tilt,

Next weekend, UL plays host to Georgia Southern in a conference series.

Oregon is the top team in the RPI rankings this week, followed by Washington, UCLA, Arizona St., and Florida.

6-10 consists of Oklahoma, Florida St., Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

LSU stays put at #13 this week.

Louisiana is the highest ranked Sun Belt Conference school, followed by Texas St. (#24), South Alabama (#53), Georgia St. (#58), Georgia Southern (#82), UTA (#93), Troy (#97), Coastal Carolina (#111), ULM (#136) , and Appalachian St. (#220).
