Miles Perret Cancer Services is holding their annual Games of Acadiana on Saturday, August 19th at the Cajundome and Convention Center, and they are still looking for volunteers for this fun and important annual event. Over 1,200 volunteers are needed to help with everything from set up and check in, implementing the actual games, and also for the triathalon, which takes place on Sunday, August 20. To sign up, you must be at least 16 years old. The Games are free and open to the public, feature over 60 games and activities, and are held from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

The schedule of events is below:

  • 9:00 am - Doors to Convention Center open
  • 9:00 am - Survivor check in begins in Convention Center lobby
  • 10:00 am - Opening Ceremonies
  • 1:00 pm - Survivor Registration closes
  • 4:00 pm - Games of Acadiana ends
