There's a new king cake in New Orleans that has a special crunch.

The source of that crunch is what most of us probably use as bait when we go fishing: crickets. WSDU in New Orleans reports that the Audobon Nature Institute is offering its 'Cricket King Cake' until Lundi Gras. The king cake has crickets baked inside and some sprinkled on top in the icing. Personally, I think this is waste of a perfectly good king cake, but I can't knock it until I try it.
