
Acadiana Native Chaz Hebert Records Save For Yankees
A native of Acadiana recorded a save for the New York Yankees in a recent spring training game.
Chaz Hebert, who attended Breaux Bridge High School, picked up a save in the Yankees' 9-4 Grapefruit League victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday.
A right-hander, Hebert threw a perfect 1.1 innings, while striking out three batters.
The Yankees selected Hebert in the 27th round of the 2011 MLB Draft.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Hebert advanced to AAA ball in 2015, but missed all of 2016 with an injury.
Last season, in Rookie and A ball, Hebert went 3-1 with a 4.44 ERA.
In parts of five minor league seasons, all with the Yankees organization, Hebert has gone 22-19 with a 3.95 ERA. and two saves.
