The end is just about here for Toys R Us.

According to the iconic toy retailer, all Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores will close on or before this Friday, June 29.

Those of you who want to make one last stroll down memory lane at the Lafayette store on Johnston St, keep in mind that inventory is limited. As stock has sold out, portions of the store has been closed off.

Is this really the end of Toys R Us though? In recent weeks there have been rumblings of potential buyers of the brand.

According to toy expert Jim Silver, founder and editor and chief of the popular toy review website TTPM.com, says he isn't convinced this is the end of the legendary brand.

"I firmly believe there will be Toys R Us stores, bricks and mortar, in 2019," Silver said. "This is the end of the chapter, not the story."
