The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns kept their fall record perfect on Saturday, with two more triumphs.

Louisiana went to Conroe, Texas, just outside of Houston, and shutout Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 2-0, before knocking off Blinn Junior College, 10-1.

The two wins improved the Cajuns' fall ball record to 5-0.

In the opening game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UL didn't hit the ball all that well, but they didn't need to, as Summer Ellyson was her normal extraordinary self inside the circle.

A junior right-hander, Ellyson twirled a two-hit, 7-inning shutout, allowing only one walk, while striking out 13 hitters.

A first-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection in 2018, Ellyson has picked up right where she left off, with a great fall.

Louisiana was led at the plate by sophomore second baseman Casidy Chaumont and sophomore first baseman Bailey Curry, who both went 2-for-3 with an RBI each, while junior shortstop Alissa Dalton and junior catcher/outfielder Julie Rawls added a double apiece.

The Cajuns had the bats working in the second game against Blinn Junior College, pounding out double-digit hits.

UL was paced at the plate by senior outfielder Keeli Milligan, who went 2-for-4, to go along with two stolen bases, while sophomore outfielder Raina O'Neal went 2-for-2, with two runs scored and a run batted in.

In addition, senior third baseman Kara Gremillion and Chaumont each drove in two runs, while Dalton and sophomore first baseman Kourtney Gremillion both added an RBI each.

In the circle, sophomore right-hander Casey Dixon recorded the win, tossing four inning of two-hit, shutout softball, while striking out five hitters.

Freshman right-hander Kandra Lamb was also effective, pitching two scoreless inning, while fanning three batters.

Louisiana will close out their fall schedule this weekend, when they travel to take on LSU-E on Saturday at 1 pm, before hosting Lakeland (Illinois) Junior College on Sunday at 11 am at Lamson Park.
