The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns wrapped-up their fall schedule, one in which they went unbeaten, with a pair on wins on Saturday.

Louisiana defeated McNeese, 7-1, in their first game of the day, before downing LSU-E, 5-1, in their fall finale.

Both contests were played on the LSU-E campus.

In the first game, the Cajuns put together 11 hits, while the pitching duo of Casey Dixon and Kandra Lamb limited McNeese to only 5 hits, in a 7-1 triumph.

Sophomore second baseman Casidy Chaumont, who had an outstanding fall, paced UL at the plate, going 2-for-3, with a home run, while junior shortstop Alissa Dalton went 2-for-2, including a double, two runs scored, and three runs batted in.

Senior third baseman Kara Gremillion and senior outfielder Keeli Milligan also collected two hits each.

In the circle, Dixon and Lamb combined with Carrie Boswell to limit the Cowgirls to one run.

A sophomore right-hander, Dixon allowed only one run on four hits, while striking out one, over three innings of work.

A freshman right-hander, Lamb, tossed three innings of one-hit, shutout softball, fanning seven hitters in the process.

A native of Australia, Lamb has been a definite bright spot in the fall.

In the 5-1 win over LSU-E, Louisiana, who outhit the hosts, 11-2, was led at the plate by Dalton, who went 2-for-3, to go along with a double and two RBI's.

Dalton went a combined 4-for-5, with two doubles, two runs scored, and 5 RBI's on the day.

Milligan, who had her best day of the fall, with four hits on the day, went 2-for-4, to go along with a run scored and two stolen bases.

Pitching-wise, junior right-hander Summer Ellyson, who went the entire fall without allowing a run, twirled three innings of no-hit, shutout softball, while Boswell, a sophomore right-hander, and Alison Deville, a senior left-hander, each tossed two shutout innings, allowing only one hit each.

The Cajuns open up their 2019 regular season schedule on February 7, when they play host to California, Texas A&M Corpus-Christi, Fordham, and Incarnate Word in the Ragin' Cajuns Classic.
