The Perseid Meteor Shower Peaks Tonight
As we're all talking about the August 21st solar eclipse, another awesome celestial event snuck up on us. The Perseid meteor shower is billed as the best meteor shower show of the year, and it peaks tonight.
The Perseid meteor shower peaks overnight starting right before midnight through the pre-dawn hours of Saturday. It's going to be a great show, because apparently we'll be able to see as many as 50 to 80 meteors per hour.
If you can get to an area that doesn't have a lot of artificial lights, you'll be able to see the meteor show better.
